The Class Description:
Let your creative energy flow as Donata guides you through the impasto techniques used by Tom Thomson to create his iconic, unique view of the Canadian Landscape.
The course’s first exercise will be a reproduction of Tom Thomson’s Jack Pine to learn his technique. Donata will be providing a demo and discussion to help you understand and be able to apply the techniques. After you complete the first painting, you will then choose the subject of your second painting with a view to applying Tom Thomson’s approach.
Please choose from the following list for your subsequent paintings:
- The West Wind
- Northern Lake
- Round Lake, Mud Bay
- Split Rock, Georgian Bay
- Pine Trees at Sunset
Suitable for all levels, both oil and acrylic painters are welcome.
