Discover the quiet elegance of glass and lace in Elegance of Perfume Bottles, a six-week online watercolour class led by acclaimed artist and instructor Danielle Beaulieu.

This inspiring course focuses on painting glass perfume bottles and delicate lace, guiding participants through two distinct still life scenes. You’ll explore how to depict the complex textures of clear and cut glass, dancing reflections, and the subtle shadows and details of white lace—all using watercolour’s luminous qualities.

  • Techniques for rendering transparent glass, reflections, and refractions
  • How to create realistic shadows and the subtle textures of lace
  • Layering, wet-on-wet, and wet-on-dry applications for luminous results
  • Strategies for adding atmosphere, realism, and storytelling to still life
  • Tips on composition, light handling, and colour choices

Glass in light doesn’t cast a simple shadow—it creates patterns of movement and sparkle, which you’ll learn to capture with precision and sensitivity.
