Artist’s statement:

“Watercolour painting is a journey of discovery. Making advances in watercolour painting requires practice and experimentation with various watercolour techniques and pigments. Understanding colour theory, the principles and elements of design, tonal values, colour saturation, and textures will help you to develop your own personal style.

Our goal in this class is to find beauty in the unexpected, to learn to enjoy the happy accidents and to let watercolour be a meditative, pleasurable and calming experience.”

This course will focus on:

Creating textural and interesting watercolour effects

  •             Creating Textural and interesting watercolour effects
  •             Developing small studies and working on 1/4 sheet paintings
  •             Painting various subjects
  •             Colour mixing
  •             Colour harmony
  •             Using various watercolour painting techniques
  •             Analyzing and assessing results

You will have the option of using your own sketches or the sketches that I use in my demos.

During the classes, you will have the opportunity to ask questions, share your journey, analyze your progress, and most importantly, have fun painting!
