About the Artist:
Vic Dohar is inspired by the beauty of the outdoors—from serene forests and flowing rivers to rural landscapes. He has been interpreting the landscape in watercolour for over 25 years. His unique style continues to evolve as he remains passionate about growth, and committed to exploring the medium. As an instructor, Vic shares his knowledge through classes and workshops, and regularly exhibits his work as a member of several local art associations. He is an elected member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour (CSPWC), with a portfolio piece included in its permanent collection. About the classes:
Each class will focus on achieving a specific objective and goal through instructor-led lessons and demonstrations, including plenty of individual feedback and handouts. Working from photo references supplied by Vic, you will paint rich and vibrant landscapes. You will learn techniques for creating washes, glazing, wet-on-wet and dry brush. You will learn to understand colour theory and mixing to get the most from a limited palette. You will explore design elements and principles to create strong compositions. You will learn various methods to preserve whites and to achieve deep rich darks.

Fees: KAC members – $210, non-members – $260
Registration: Opens for KAC volunteers August 25th, KAC members August 28th, non-members September 3rd

Kanata Art Club reserves the right to cancel a class where there is insufficient registration. You will be notified and receive a full refund.
To withdraw prior to the start date, please contact the treasurer at treasurer@kanataartclub.com. An e-transfer for a full refund less an administrative fee of $25.00 will be issued if a written request is received by October 5th. There will be no refund issued beyond that date, unless we can fill your spot from a waitlist.
