Negative Painting, with Pauline Goss

“Negative painting is a powerful technique that adds depth, dimension, and visual interest to watercolour paintings. It is captivating because it flips the traditional painting process, focusing on the space around the subject rather than the subject itself.

I find that this technique works particularly well when painting florals, and I often use it to paint the leaf shapes of the floral background. It is a lot of fun to do, and while the concept is simple, it requires practice.

Course Description:

In this series of classes, Pauline will show you the technique while you work on developing a small painting in each class.

Kanata Art Club reserves the right to cancel a studio where there is insufficient registration.  You will be notified and receive a refund.

To withdraw prior to the start date, please contact the  treasurer at treasurer@kanataartclub.com. An e-transfer for a full refund less an administrative fee of $15.00 will be issued if a written request is received no less than 2 weeks prior to the start of the first studio.  There will be no refund issued beyond that date.
