Artist’s statement:
“With many years of teaching experience, I am energized by the sharing of knowledge and skills and seeing each person’s unique artistic development.”
This eight week course is geared for artists who are already familiar with the basics of drawing and the required tools. If you are ready to go beyond the basics and develop your ideas further, please join us as we push the boundaries of mark making. This class will engage your imagination, challenge your problem solving skills and delight your funny bone. Learn new ways of seeing.

– Line, the thick and thin of it
– The value of paper bags
– Lifting out the lights
– Hatching ideas
– Grids at play
– Rules of the masters
– Positively negative space
– Imaginary worlds
– Newsworthy
– Progressive drawing
Dates: Oct. 3, 17, 24, 31, Nov. 7, 14, 21, 28 (8 weeks) (No class on Oct. 10th)
Time: Tuesdays, 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm
Location: Kanata Art Club Studio, 630 Cameron Harvey Road, Kanata
Fees: KAC members – $200, non-members – $235.00

Registration is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Fees must be paid in full at the time of registration. Kanata Art Club reserves the right to cancel a class where there is insufficient registration.
To withdraw prior to the start date, please contact the registrar at registrar@kanataartclub.com. A cheque for a full refund less an administrative fee of $15.00 will be issued if a written request is received no less than one week prior to the start of the first class (i.e., on September 6th). There will be no refund issued beyond that date.
